The OLLI at FSU is a scholarly and exciting program of classes targeted to mature adults over 50 who want to learn in a stress free environment where there are no tests and no homework: Learning for the fun of learning! OLLI has been recognized by the Florida Legislature for its leadership in “engaging older Floridians and enriching lives” and offers a variety of classes and lecture series’ on current events and issues, art and history, and more. Classes meet on the FSU campus at The Claude Pepper Center, several offsite locales (museums, nurseries, historic sites), its corporate partner site, Westminster Oaks and at Tallahassee Community College. Classes are instructed by current or retired faculty from FSU, FAMU and TCC who have expertise in their field.
One of Tallahassee’s unique events is the annual Lifelong Learning Extravaganza presented by OLLI. Seniors have the opportunity to participate in a week-long, energized learning series with over 30 classes, hands-on activities, workshops, lectures, outings and more.
