At a time when Florida is carrying out more executions than any other state, join Floridians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty and the Mercy and Justice Core Community at Good Shepherd Catholic Church for a timely evening of film and conversation. The Window on Death Row tells the powerful story of Joaquín José Martínez, who was wrongfully convicted and became Florida’s 19th death row exoneree. The short film follows his fight for freedom, his relationship with spiritual advisor Brother Dale Recinella, and the profound transformation he experienced while awaiting execution. Following the film, Father Dustin Feddon -- death row spiritual advisor and founder of Joseph House -- will join FADP Executive Director Grace Hanna for a thought-provoking conversation and audience Q&A about faith, wrongful conviction, redemption, and the human cost of Florida’s death penalty. The event will be held in the lower level of the church’s administration building. A light meal will be served before the screening.
