Domi Station, Office of Economic Vitality, and AARP Florida launched an exciting new program last week, Third Act! This program gives 50+ doers an opportunity to engage with entrepreneurship in an inclusive environment as founders, mentors, funders or volunteers.
Third Act was created to give retirees, Big Bend residents 50+, empty-nesters and other experienced professionals an opportunity to continue to grow and contribute to the community while remaining economically and intellectually active. Once recruited, pilot participants have the opportunity to engage in customized educational modules that bring them up to speed on modern entrepreneurship strategies, build their business step-by-step, and validate ideas. These entrepreneurs have the opportunity to join existing startups, find new business partners, or cultivate successful teams.
Third Act offers participants the ability to grow their startup businesses through the incubator process, receiving guidance, accountability, and access to local and regional resources. The program is sponsored through the Office of Economic Vitality’s Elevate Fund.
The Third Act introductory webinars were the official launch of the program. Both webinars were successful in allowing attendees to engage in meaningful discussions and receive a thorough overview of the program. The webinars had over 80 total attendees and has grown the Domi community significantly. We look forward to helping these entrepreneurs start on their third act!
If you have any questions or want to learn more about Third Act, contact Domi Station by clicking here. There are a number of virtual workshops and seminars. We can’t wait to see these self-starters engage in the Tallahassee entrepreneur community!
