Opening Nights at FSU
Opening Nights at Florida State University began in 1921 and has provided a place for meaningful artistic and professional experiences to students on and off campus. It has evolved into an annual series of performances that occur from the fall to the spring. Some of the past performances have been ukulele orchestras, trumpet and saxophone shows, and The King’s Singers! Tallahassee Ballet
The Tallahassee Ballet has been Tallahassee’s premiere Ballet company since 1972. It is a regional, nonprofit dance company featuring a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary ballet performed by both professional and emerging professional dancers. For 49 years, the Tallahassee Ballet has put on extravagant performances paired with exquisite music, original costumes, and new choreography. Theatre Tallahassee
How does Broadway in your backyard sound? Theatre Tallahassee was founded in 1949 and has been bringing live performances and shows ever since! The mainstage holds 271 patrons with comfortable high-backed seats and a high-quality sound system. The shows performed on the main stage tend to be geared toward larger audiences and often feature lavish sets. They also have The Studio which is for smaller, more intimate audiences. These shows sometimes contain more adult subject matter and themes. The Box Office is open Monday through Friday from 12pm-4pm, and one hour before curtain on show nights. Tallahassee Young Actors Theatre
Tallahassee Young Actors Theatre is one of the oldest independent youth theatre programs in the country and combines the three elements which are music, drama, and dance. This theatre has the largest professionally staffed program in the southeast with over 10,000 patrons who attend annually.
