The history of Bullwinkle’s Saloon itself is what makes it a staple Tallahassee bar. Open since 1979, the dive bar nicknamed Bull’s, is designed like an old-world saloon, just like in the movies. The indoor, outdoor, multi-level bar is always a good time, with music constantly streaming from the beer garden. With offers of a $10 bottomless buffet of top-shelf liquor and free cover with a Moose Card membership, it’s hard to skip out on this bar. Another oldie but goodie Tallahassee bar is Poor Paul’s Pourhouse. Owned and operated by Jim Smith since 1976, this bar is considered a landmark by locals. Besides weekly specials, Poor Paul’s Pourhouse also has games and prizes. It’s non-stop fun for all at this favorite Tallahassee bar. Open daily from 3 pm until 2 am, they host ladies’ night on Tuesdays and free pizza with $4.95 pitchers every Sunday and Monday night!
