Southwood Golf Club

Tallahassee’s very own upscale, public course, Southwood Golf Club was designed by Fred Couples, a PGA Tour legend, and Gene Bates, a renowned architect. This remarkable facility is settled amongst the rolling hills, pastureland, and elderly oak trees dressed in Spanish moss. The Southwood Golf Club is so highly-esteemed, in part, because of its design. The course provides both a pleasant and challenging game for players, regardless of their level of skill. Notably awarded Tallahassee’s Best Golf Course by the Tallahassee Magazine, Southwood Golf Club is one of the top golf courses in the state of Florida.

After finishing the course, head on back to the Southwood Golf Club restaurant to relax and recount the day. Whether you’re grabbing a bite after a long game or coming to enjoy some drinks and a meal with friends, you are sure to have a good time and great views! 

Hilaman Golf Course

Hilaman Golf Course has fairways that are so green they look like something out of a movie! Re-opened in 1982 for play, this beloved Tallahassee golf course has been played by multiple generations of golfers. Located in the center of Tallahassee, the 18-hole course plays through the city’s charming landscapes, challenging all players.

Need to stock up on the latest golf gear? Head over to the Pro Shop where you will find a large assortment of quality equipment. If you are looking to practice on your swing, they have a driving range where you can do just that! There is also a restaurant and tennis courts. Golden Eagle Country Club

The Golden Eagle Country Club is much more than just a golf course. Offering the finest facilities for golf, tennis, relaxing by the pool, and dining, for members to enjoy! Tucked away in the gated community of Golden Eagle, the country club is the center of entertainment for the neighborhood. The course encapsulates the charm of Southern life. With the plantation-style layout of the course and clubhouse, one of the most scenic Tallahassee golf courses!

The 18-hole course was designed by the highly-regarded Tom Fazio. It is often rated Florida’s most challenging course by the USGA after opening in 1986. Strategically designed for both professional and casual golfers, the course spotlights wide open fairways and Scottish bunkers. 

Seminole Golf Course and Club

Located on the Florida State University campus, the Seminole Legacy Golf Club is the home of the FSU Men and Women’s golf team. Recently, the Nicklaus Design Company renovated the facilities, so that the club has only the best. From the back tee, the course stretches over 7,800 yards of surprising terrain and the most exquisite scenery, with ancient live oaks and stately pine trees detailing the course. 

The Seminole Legacy Golf Club is currently offering memberships to students, faculty, and staff at Florida State University, as well as friends of the University. 

Capital City Country Club

Since 1908, the Capital City Country Club has been nicknamed the “dream course of the Southeast” for its Tillinghast design and 250-ft elevation change. Both Golfweek and USA Today ranked Capital City Country Club as the 13th best course in Florida 2021. Located no more than 5 minutes from the State Capitol, Florida State University, and Florida A&M University, the golf course is in the perfect location. 

The Capital City Country Club is so much more than just a golf course. With an Olympic-sized swimming complex that offers lessons, a tennis complex of both clay and hard courts with lights to play into the evenings, a large driving range, a fitness center, a stocked Pro Shop, and a Champions Bar and Grill, this club has it all!
