Tallahassee Festivals

Tallahassee Festivals taking place this year

Discover Tallahassee festivals and other exciting outdoor activities this fall.

Fall is officially here! The weather is cooler, the leaves are slowly changing from green to orange and football is finally back at FSU and FAMU. Fall also means festival season has returned to Tallahassee. There are plenty of awesome outdoor activities open to the public, so grab your sweater, a pumpkin spice latte, and join in on the fall festivities.

Annual Tallahassee Beer Festival

Come taste all of the best brews at Tallahassee’s annual Beer Festival! With 100+ breweries showing out for this event, there will be 360+ different types of ales, meads, ciders, sparkling sodas, and wines to taste. Upon arrival, tasting cups will be handed out to everyone for endless refills. Don’t wanna mix your ciders and wines? No worries – there are rinse sprayers to make sure your palette stays cleansed.

This event takes place every August at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. Food vendors will be set up throughout the event space to wash down the ale. And if you’re feeling energetic (and a bit adventurous), Tomahawks 51 will be on-site, so practice your best ax-throwing form and have fun!

Tallahassee Downtown Market

Live! In Tallahassee gives a tour of the Tallahassee Downtown Farmers Market

Located on the corner of North Monroe and East Park Avenue, you’ll find rows of local vendors and merchants selling fresh homegrown produce, flowers, eggs, and more. As you browse, enjoy the lively atmosphere filled with the sounds of celebrated local musicians performing live and the voices of writers and poets sharing their latest work on stage.

FSU’s Flying High Circus Halloween Show

Partake in an annual Tallahassee tradition of Florida State University’s Flying High Circus! This family-friendly spooktacular event features skeletons and zombies performing tricks that are sure to thrill you. What makes FSU Flying High Circus truly special is the dedication of students crafting their costumes, managing the lighting and sound production, and handling the setup of all the equipment themselves in preparation for performances. Widely recognized beyond campus, the Flying High Circus has even appeared in countries around the world. That said, don’t forget to grab your tickets early, as the shows take place over two weekends in October.

Costumes are encouraged, and the vibes are unbeatable!

Previous vendors include local favorites like Artistic Confections, The Blu Halo, Madison Social, and many more. It’s a great chance to enjoy a festive night out while giving back to a great cause.
